The IT Department is your initial point of contact for all your IT-related needs. If you are having difficulties accessing VUL systems (Moodle, Email, etc.), and need your password reset, or are having issues with a VUL computer, the IT Department is here to help!

Moodle & Office 365

The Information Technology Help Desk has partnered with Moodle to provide students, faculty, and staff with expert support for Moodle Online System.

VUL students, faculty, and staff have access to 24/7 Moodle system:

Microsoft Office 365 for Students, Faculty, and Staff

All current VUL Students, Faculty, and Staff have access to Microsoft’s Office 365 at no cost. Accessing Office 365 is simple and provides you with Office for PC, Mac and a number of mobile platforms. Click here for Outlook access.

New Student Resource

MYVUL Portal

MyVUL is your portal into our systems where a student can log in and view their class registration, grades, and various account-related information. We recommend using the MyVUL Portal for integrated access to all of your account-related resources. You can log in to the MyVULPortal at myvul.vul.edu

MYVUL Account

Upon acceptance to Virginia University of Lynchburg and payment of the enrollment deposit, you will receive an email to your personal email address with instructions on how to initialize your MyVUL account. Your MyVUL account username will be created using portions of your first and last name. Please note that your VUL Student ID is separate from your MyVUL account username. The MyVUL account username is also used to create your Student Mail by Microsoft account in the form of myvulusername@vul.edu. Once your MyVUL account password is created, you may log in to the MyVUL portal at myvul.vul.edu.

The Virginia University of Lynchburg recommends changing your email account password at least every 180 days.

Student Email

All Virginia University of Lynchburg students are provided with a Google G Suit account. Your Google account is the official student mail account of the University. All official Virginia University of Lynchburg electronic correspondence will be sent to your VUL email provided to you. Google G Suite accounts offer a wide array of features, including mail, calendar, unlimited Google Drive (free cloud-based storage) and Google Hangouts (text, voice, and video messaging service).

These features are available through your Google Account. You can log in directly into accounts.google.com. Your student by Google address is in the form of MyVULUsername@vul.edu

Where is my VUL G Suite Account Username and Password?

Your VUL G SUITE username is in the form of MyVULUsername@vul.edu. Your VUL G Suite password is automatically synchronized to be the same as your MyVUL account password. Whenever prompted to login to your VUL Google Gmail or G Suite apps, be sure to use your full username in the form of MyVULUsername@vul.edu.

To change your password, please visit www.vul.edu/password.

How do I login to my VUL G-Suite Account and my personal account at the same time?

Google supports multiple logins so that you can login to your VUL G Suite account and your personal Google account simultaneously.

VUL G-Suite Account Security and Privacy Statement

When you sign into your VUL G Suite account, you will be presented with information on the privacy and security of your new account. In that statement, it mentions the domain administrator as having access to your account information. In Google G Suite for education, that administrator is Virginia University of Lynchburg and not Google. Virginia University of Lynchburg does not access VUL G Suite student data unless the student has requested help with their G Suite account or the university is under subpoena to supply such information.
